Born in November 28, 1964, Hüseyin Tapınç received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Department of Sociology from Boğaziçi University. He worked as a Research Assistant there between 1987 and 1989.
In 1989, he won British Council scholarship and received a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Essex in 1990. Upon his return to Turkey, Tapınç started to work for the Piar Gallup Research Company in 1990. Between October 1994 and February 2009, he worked with different brands of the same market research group, including Plus Remark, Infratest Burke, NFO Infratest, and Synovate. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as Brand and Communications Director of Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East for Synovate.
Between 1994 and 2008, Tapınç actively took part in and managed hundreds of B2C and B2B projects in consumer durables, finance, fast moving consumer goods, automotive, telecommunications, and production. He founded Sia Insight in November 2009 with his partners. He currently serves as its Managing Director.Tapınç is also a member of the Turkish Researchers’ Association (TUAD) and he is also a Board Member in the same association.
